McNaughtan's Bookshop welcomes dedicated collectors and casual browsers alike.

Public transport
Conveniently situated in central Edinburgh near the top of Leith Walk, the shop is only a short walk from the main train terminal of Waverley station at the east end of Princes Street and from the principal bus station in St Andrew's Square (see map above). Taxis are readily available at the train station, and we are also well served by several city bus routes (nos. 7, 10, 11, 12, 14, 16, 22, 25 and 49).

Parking
We are on the boundary of two of the city's Parking Zones and tickets may be purchased at outlets in surrounding streets. Nearby Annandale Street provides the cheapest parking for a week-day visit and there is free parking in surrounding streets on Saturdays (metered parking in Gayfield Square). There is also a long stay car park beneath John Lewis department store, about 500 metres up the road. Some limited parking is available approximately ten metres from the shop free of charge for up to one hour. Those visiting Edinburgh from a distance can find detailed advice on travel and accommodation at Edinburgh and Lothians Tourist Board.

Wheelchair access
We are sorry to say that wheelchair access to McNaughtan's is almost impossible as the shop occupies a basement at the bottom of a steep flight of steps. If, however, you are searching for books on a particular topic, please do not hesitate to contact us by telephone or email and we will do everything in our power to assist you.
