Recent Work by Elizabeth Strong, April / May 2010

Available to rent monthly:

A light-filled basement gallery space within an antiquarian bookshop. The gallery floor space is approximately 14 square metres and hanging space is about 10.5 metres, with the possibility of a double-hang, depending on the size of the work. A steel wire hanging system is in place and pictures should have either eyelets or picture wire or cord for hanging.

The 2012 monthly rates (inclusive of VAT) are:

Commission on sales would be 30% (inclusive of VAT)

A deposit of 50% of the total rent confirms the booking.

The gallery will be advertised in ArtMag and Artwork which appear locally every two months and this would not be an extra charge to the exhibitor. Further advertising would be by arrangement.

Work is automatically insured up to a total of £20,000,00 (with an insurer's excess of £250) and the gallery is covered for public liability and employee insurance.

Refreshments for a private view, flowers, signage, staffing, and printing of a simple list can be provided free of charge and I would be happy to send invitations to customers on my mailing list with postage and printing at cost.

The gallery’s opening hours necessarily coincide with McNaughtan’s Bookshop’s opening hours which are 1100-1700, Tuesday-Saturday, and it would probably be most convenient for hanging to take place on a Sunday afternoon with any opening or private view on a Monday evening from 6-8 p.m.
