Pale green pictorial cloth lavishly decorated on spine and upper cover with a picture of an armed warrior in blues and golds. Top edge gilt. 10 + 319 + colophon pp. Three colour plates plus thirteen line illustrations. A fine collection of heroic tales and legends; would appeal to readers of any age who enjoy fantasy. Colour plates are particularly beautiful. Leaves thumbed at edges, but crisp and clean on interior; some remain unopened. Lower cover slightly worn; corners bumped; small dents in head and foot of spine. Three leaves carelessly opened in gathering E. Despite this the book is in very good condition. £45.
